Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.
In the first session we will get to know each other, you will have time to share your interest in yoga therapy and I will offer a description of what to expect in future sessions. After that, sessions will include talking, mindfulness, breath work, meditation, yoga postures, various forms of movement, journaling/writing, creative expression, and other forms of self-care practices that supports you through your rehabilitation.
Yoga therapy sessions are $80/hour, plus travel time if required.
I understand that yoga therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, attention, or examination. The yoga therapist will refer you to licensed health care practitioners as needed. I should consult my physician or licensed health care practitioner prior to beginning any physical activity, including yoga therapy. I recognize that it is my responsibility to notify the yoga therapist of any serious illness or injury before every session. I accept that neither the yoga therapist, is liable for any injury, or damages, to persons or property, resulting from the receiving a yoga therapy session.
